Also, I'm not sure that a favoring movie that ends by blowing up the headquarters of major credit card companies (albiet without killing anyone) will really help with the fundraising. :P

Yeah, especially these days. It's a damn good thing that movie was made when it was. A couple of years later and it would have been totally kiboshed because the protagonist is a terrorist.
