Finally, someone else noticed that Jasper is Theo's father!

I was starting to doubt my powers of observation.

I sorta figured he was but I was never quite sure. Did the movie solidly establish it anywhere or was it just sorta implied? There's a lot of background detail, so I figure there's probably a picture or something that would make it clear. I just didn't see said picture.

It was never explicitly said in the movie. On Jasper's mantle was a newspaper/magazine article about a photojournalist who was kidnapped and tortured by terrorists. This was the woman in the wheelchair (I forget her name), Jasper's wife/life partner. Later in the movie, Julian says to Theo, "I heard about what happened to your mother. I'm sorry."

It's not concrete, but it says to me tht Jasper is either his dad or stepdad. They don't share the same last name, but then again, Jasper doesn't seem to be the traditional type to me, so Theo could have his mother's surname.
