So I was reading reviews of everyone's favorite pernicious leader this morning, Richard the III. (I also read the State of the Union reviews, but they're not that interesting). Anyone interested? I've always been a big Richard the III fan so I'm happy to see it back in DC.

There's a general Shakespeare festival on, so there's going to be a lot of opportunities for generally bard-ery. I'll post my short-list sometime soon, although for the prominent stuff I'll wait on reviews.

I wonder if we're getting Avery Brooks or Patrick Stewart again. Both have performed at the Shakespeare Theater in the past in Oedipus and Othello respectively (the theater does about 50% non-Shakespeare). I didn't catch Stewart, but Brooks' Oedipus was one bad mother....

If Avery Brooks or Patrick Stewart is involved I am *so* there.

Kind of cool how each of them played a role you would have expected the other one to be more likely to do.

I'll let you know if they turn up in anything. There's a whole lot of plays.

I wouldn't mind going, although I don't want to monopolize all of the Shakespeare events.
