Actually, let me amend that. I found a couple of other things, so if there isn't anything you want, I should be able to get the free shipping on my own. However, if there is stuff you want, we should order it together.
If you like Rising Stars, you should check out Supreme Power. Same author (JMS), somewhat similar themes, and I think the handling is tighter all around.
But then, I never really liked Rising Stars. The whole "what if all the superheroes and supervillains had all known each other as kids" aspect didn't click for me, and it ended up being way more central to the story than I was expecting.
Ex Machina is entertaining enough, but the superhero aspect and the mayor aspect feel more disjointed than I would have liked. I would have liked a story more about a mayor with superpowers, rather than a mayor who happened to be a (former) superhero, if you follow.
