Quick note, just saw Quiet American, great movie, intelligent, well acted, and great ambiance. I should probably read the book at some point. Might even check out the original since it was supposed to be the same story with the other guy as the protagonist. I'll see it again if that's what it takes to get someone to this film.

Eek, the 1958 version? Don't waste your time. it's a dreadful propaganda piece. Graham Greene spent a good chunk of the next 10 years disavowing responsibility for that travesty.
