Anyone doing Potter stuff in Silver Spring tonight?

"...you might want to consider checking out the "Diagon Alley" on Ellsworth Drive in downtown Silver Spring tonight instead.It's a lot closer to the Metro. Here's what's on tap there: "Stock upon all your wizarding needs with Harry Potter specials at shops such as Flourish and Blotts (Borders Books and Music), Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlor (Ben & Jerry's), The Leaky Cauldron (McGinty's Public House), and more! Activities include Harry Potter trivia contests, games, face painting, live music, and even a chance to make your own wand."

kamalloy and I may be hitting the festivities and/or catching the fifth movie. Anyone else going to be there?

It's one of the chain of localized Irish pubs. I can dig up the article about it somewhere. But essentially each has a different pseudo-authentic name.

We'll be crowding into McGinty's starting at 7ish... I'll probably arrive around 7:30. Supposedly there are 3000 pre-orders at Borders, it's going to be a madhouse!

I'll be heading to the one in Old Town. Would like to do the Silver Spring one as I know more people going there, but it's too far considering the more local events and that I'm not even buying the book tonight.
