I have a hard time seeing that there wouldn't be widespread GOP support for stopping a war in Iran. It'd be disasterous, and the current war is unpopular enough. I s'pose it's possible, if Iran attacks US troops explicitly, but I don't think they're going to do that without a US incursion, and if that happens, well... sigh.

Okay, I take it back. We do need an effective groundwork. You win.
