Just managed to restore Reene's computer to proper working order, registry intact as of yesterday. Took a little doing because the computer wouldn't boot far enough to use the last good config tool, instead had to go to the console to do stuff. Found a nice guide off www.mediaworkstation.com that was so cool it merits a plug. Fortunately I still had to improvise just enough that the restoration had a nice personal feel.

I've had a vague sense of ennui all day, but now I'm in a great work mood. To coding!
