Just figured out how to use the starred items thing on Google reader to manage all my article acquisition. The main problem with starred google items is that it only covers blog entries and such. So it's no good for nabbing a cool slate article or the like. However, long ago I did set up a del.ico.us account that I've largely left dormant. That can be used to tag any site. Then I just nabbed the RSS feed from my del.ico.us page and that's now in Google reader.
